WARSAW<\/h4>\n

Warsaw is an European capital, in which tradition interlaces with modernity. It can be seen in the city\u2019s architecture, customs and even cuisine. It takes no more than five minutes to walk from an old restaurant offering traditional dishes like tripe or a cake called \u201ewuzetka\u201d to a state-of-the-art place with molecular gastronomy.<\/p>\n

This dichotomy stems from a rich history of Warsaw. The city was home to five Polish kings, who left its future citizens with impressive heritage in the form of beautiful residences and parks. Probably the most famous and admirable ones are the Wilan\u00f3w Palace with surrounding gardens and the Palace on the Isle, located in the centre of the royal park called \u0141azienki. Another must-see is the Royal Castle located in the Old Town.<\/p>\n

The symbol of Warsaw is the Mermaid of Warsaw. You can spot in several places, but the most important statues may be found on the Old Town Market Place and by the Vistula River in the district called Powi\u015ble. This district, described in the 19th c. by a Polish writer Boles\u0142aw Prus as the poorest area of the city, is now a burgeoning part of Warsaw, attracting thousands of young people in warm, summer days. It is also where a state-of-the-art Copernicus Science Centre is located.<\/p>\n<\/div>

A 15-minute walk separates PW from the Palace of Culture \u2013 arguably the most iconic building in Warsaw. Under its roof, you will find four theatres, fascinating exhibitions, a traditional cinema hall, numerous caf\u00e9s and restaurants as well as several education studios. On a sunny day, you can go to the 30th floor in order to admire a breath-taking, panoramic view on Warsaw skyscrapers, parks, shopping malls etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>
